About Our Last & Fit
Most of our styles are built on a UK G-fit last, which provides a generous, comfortable fit across the forefoot. If you are between sizes or have a wider foot, we recommend sizing up.
The exception to G fitting lasts are the Formal Dress shoe styles - CAPPED MONK, SEMIBROGUE, CAPPED DERBY, these are crafted on a more regular Fplus fitting last.
- True to size: Most customers find Chapman & Moore shoes fit true to their usual UK size.
- Generous forefoot: The G-fit last offers extra room across the ball of the foot — ideal for wider or higher-volume feet.
- Half sizes: Where half sizes are not available, customers with wider feet should size up; those with narrower feet may prefer to size down.
How to Measure Your Foot
- Place a sheet of paper on a hard floor and stand on it with your heel against a wall.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe with a pencil.
- Measure the distance from the wall to the mark in millimetres.
- Match your measurement to the Foot Length column above.
- If you fall between two sizes, refer to the fit notes above.
